On Saturday 19 September we officially opened our new section of footpath and cycleway - hurrah! It will be called Clement's Corner, after Mike Clements, the landowner who provided the land - thank you Mike. Our coordinator Tess Gill introduced the speakers, Ken Mace, Chair of Compton Bishop Parish Council thanked all involved and James Heappey MP commended the progress which the campaign has made so far, reiterating his support as a keen cyclist (he arrived by bike). Then he cut the ribbon, and Mike Rolfe popped the cork on the champers so we could toast the new section and drink to the future success of our campaign. We must also acknowledge the time, effort and commitment of our stalwart supporters, including our core group: Tess Gill, Richard & Elizabeth Parker, Mike Rolfe, Noellvie Watson, Sandy & John Parfitt, Annie Vickerstaff, Delia and Justin McCarthy, Chris & Peter Laney.
