Family Bike Ride, Saturday 27 June. Starts 10am from Axbridge Town Square. Two routes: a short one of approx 2 miles for small children (accompanied by an adult) or the less experienced; a longer one of approx 10 miles for everyone else (children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult). The short route is mostly off-road around part of Cheddar Reservoir. The longer one will start with all cyclists travelling together down Cross Lane A371 and across the A38, then via Compton Bishop, Webbington Rd, Barton Rd, to pick up the Strawberry Line at Winscombe and return to Axbridge. An alternate starting point starts at The White Hart, Cross. Both rides will be stewarded, and end in Axbridge Town Square where there will be refreshments and a lucky-dip.
